Your Ultimate Pigmentation / Melasma Routine
READY TO NAIL YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE? YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
Pigmentation is a skin condition characterised by patches of skin that appear darker than the surrounding skin due to an excessive level of melanin that can be found on the surface of skin.
The most common forms of pigmentation issues are age spots, post-acne pigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, solar lentigines (also known as sun spots), melasma or chloasma. Mild pigmentation can lead to uneven skin tone as a result of sun damage, hormonal changes and sometimes even as a side-effect of some medication.
When pigmentation issues are treated successfully, skin no longer appears dull but instead clearer, brighter and often more youthful.
VITAMIN C - Once inside the skin, pollution can cause chronic inflammation, stimulating melanocytes and giving you unwanted pigmentation. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that protects against damaging free radicals caused by pollution and is also known to inhibit the production of melanin in your skin.
HYALURONC ACID - Hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid can help to keep your skin’s moisture barrier intact.
AZELAIC ACID - Another good brightening agent is azelaic acid, a yeast that deactivates the enzyme tyrosinase, which helps to produce melanin.
